Welcome to Columbine Pottery!
Columbine Pottery is located at the gateway to the beautiful Jemez Mountains in San Ysidro, NM. My name is Shirley Powell and I am the potter and have been making pottery since 1979.
From exquisite Raku
sculptures, beautiful handcrafted table top fountains, to out of the ordinary functional ware, Columbine Pottery
can satisfy your gift as well
as your decorating needs.
I specialize in
hand-crafted wheel-thrown stoneware. All my pieces are made with care and
all my
glazes are lead-free, microwave and dishwasher safe as well as oven
proof.
All of my pottery is crafted with the hope that they will be used and
enjoyed every day !
In the site you will see two prices; one for
the signature leaf pattern and a second for "specialty" items.
The specialty items are a little more than the leaf pattern because they are
hand-painted with designs ~ petroglyphs, flowers, hummingbirds, etc.
Although these items cost a little more, they're twice as beautiful!
They
take twice as long to glaze and paint, thus the extra cost.
I hope you enjoy your visit to my shop!
