Micaceous Pieces
Micaceous clay is a beautiful earthenware clay
(red or
white) that
is full of mica that shines like little flecks of gold.
It is a very stable, strong fine bodied clay.
All of the pieces I make in the stoneware and porcelain clays are now available
in the micaceous clay.
Because of its beauty, my micaceous clay pieces are done with hand
paintings, such as petroglyphs, or flowers and then paint over it with a
lead free clear glaze. I hope these pictures will give you some idea of the
beauty of micaceous clay.
